CNC Machines Are for Teaching

Emco Maier manufactures a full line of CNC lathes, mills and other production machines, with special teaching models for education.

The entry-level EMCO PC 5 Lathe and PC Mill 30 suit junior high and high school students. Special Emco CAD/CAM software teaches basic machining skills.

A step up are the PC Turn 50 and PC Mill 50 units. The lathe and mill are PC-driven, run with either a Fanuc or Siemens control, and suit vocational and technical schools as well as industry training. Both do all major functions of full-sized CNC lathes and mills.

For advanced training, the PC Turn 120 boasts an eight-station tool turret and a manual tailstock with integrated live center. And the PC Mill 100 has pre-loaded ball screws for three axes and a 10-tool turret with directional logic. Emco Maier Corp., Columbus, OH, (800) 841-0626.
