Service Customizes and Compiles Textbooks

Goosewing, Inc. is a new online provider of customizable course material, designed for K-12 educators. The service helps educators create, review and order customized course materials. Educators fill in basic information about the course they want to teach, and Goosewing will instantly build their curriculum requirements and lesson plans into an educational program with appropriate course materials. The teacher can then place an online order, and Goosewing will send customized bound books to the teacher’s class within a week.

Each text is accompanied by a virtual classroom at Goosewing.net, where students can access course-relevant links, communicate with their teacher, and view assignments. The service was created by teachers to help instructors gain control over their course materials. Combined textbook and virtual classroom pricing ranges from $8 - $18, with further volume discounts available. Goosewing, Inc., Pawtucket, R.I., (401) 729-9100, www.goosewing.com.
