Gateway has designed a new 400 Series of laptops ideal for high school and college students. Users can access a home or campus network with the 400 Series’optional built-in Wi-Fi technology, which also makes it practical for educational institutions that need mobile solutions across campus. It offers a 2.4 GHz Intel Pentium 4 processor with 256 MB of DDR SDRAM, expandable to 512 MB. It features ATI MOBILITY RADEON graphics with 16 MB of DDR video memory and up to a 40 GB HD drive. The 400 series also features up to a 15” display, integrated multimedia and advanced communication capabilities. Buyers can opt for a CD-RW, DVD-ROM, CD-ROM or a CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo.
