Carousel, from Tightrope Media Systems (866-866-4118, www.trms.com), is a Web-centric video messaging system that includes a rack-mounted computer with a keyboard and mouse, as well as integrated composite, S-Video and VGA outputs. The system is simple to use, requiring no training, and offers secure access to an unlimited number of user accounts. It allows photos, graphics and video clips to be easily imported into the system, which is Internet, intranet, LAN and WAN accessible. The Carousel system weighs about 45 lbs. and is two rack units high. It features a DVD-ROM, 10/100 Ethernet, at least a 40 GB hard drive, as well as a removable and washable air filter. It also has a parallel port, a serial port and four USB ports. In addition, the system is very customizable, offering various processors, memory and optional software plug-ins.
