Turning Technologies To Expand Lineup with Assessments

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

4/19/2007—Turning Technology prepares to expand its education assessment product line with the recent acquisition of Totus' educational software program. Totus' technological solution will be released as VantagePoint, a Web-based data assessment software, and will accompany Turning Technology's TurningPoint, a real-time interactive assessment software.

TurningPoint is designed for students using an interactive response pad to respond to questions in PowerPoint presentations. Teachers can track responses and evaluate how the class or an individual student is responding to the material with reports from the software. According to Turning Technology, educators can "use TurningPoint interactive questions for participation points, graded tests as well as tracking student performance against state standards."

VantagePoint is designed to track student data using the Internet so that K-12 educators can use real-time data to analyze current instructional strategies and make decisions. According to Turning Technology, the software "will also provide understanding as to the effect of intervention programs on achievement and specifically track student performance against state standards associated with the No Child Left Behind Act."
