Chicago Schools Manage Special Ed with Maximus

Chicago Public Schools will manage its special education program using TieNet from Maximus. TieNet is a case management system used, among other things, to develop individual education programs and analyze student achievement.

The two-year project will see TieNet deployed district-wide to enable staff to collect and analyze achievement student data and provide reports and communications for parents, teachers, administrators, and board of education members.

"We feel Maximus TieNet is the state of the art solution. We have had very positive responses from teachers and administrators in Chicago," said Chicago Public Schools CIO Robert Runcie. "Maximus has demonstrated an exceptional blend of project management proficiency, special education expertise, and technological skill, enabling us to better serve Chicago schools."

According to Maximus, implementation is expected to be completed by May 2008.
