Mitsubishi Debuts 1080p Projector for Education

Mitsubishi has launched a new high-definition projector targeted toward education, home theater, and corporate applications at the Consumer Electronics Show, happening this week in Las Vegas.

The FL7000U, set to ship later this month, is a 3LCD projector offering a brightness of 5,000 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 (1080p). Full details on the new projector were not available at press time. However, some of the features Mitsubishi has announced include:

  • Side-by-side images for enhanced video conferencing;
  • Built-in motion-sensitive anti-theft alarm;
  • DVI connector with an HDMI-to-DVI adapter.

The FL7000U is expected to ship in January for $14,995 with a three-year limited warranty on parts and labor and a 90-day limited warranty on the lamp. Click the link below for more information.
