Corwin--Educators Offer Hope in These 'Dark Days' for the Environment
FETC keynote address tackles 'environmental stewardship'

Our natural resources are at a "critical stage," and educators have the most important mission on the planet, said Emmy award-winner Jeff Corwin, who delivered the opening keynote address at the FETC 2008 conference Wednesday in Orlando, FL. Corwin, best known as the lively, energetic host of Animal Planet's The Jeff Corwin Experience and the Discovery Kids series Jeff Corwin Unleashed, said that teachers are bestowed with an "awesome responsibility" in getting out the message of conservation and acting as stewards of the environment....

Pearson Debuts enVisionMATH Elementary Curriculum
Pearson has launched a new math curriculum targeted specifically toward elementary students. Dubbed enVisionMATH, the program combines traditional (print) curriculum elements with elements aimed at technologically oriented students, including animations and online visual learning tools. Smart Adds Leopard Support to Whiteboard Software
Smart Technologies has released an update to its whiteboard software, Smart Board 9.7. The update comes on the heels of a full-version upgrade for the company's Notebook software, announced last week at the Macworld expo in San Francisco.
