Lit Program Brings Differentiated Instruction to 6-12 Reading

Glencoe/McGraw-Hill has debuted a new literature series that incorporates online learning modules, DVD-based professional development, and targeted differentiated instruction for grades 6 to 12.

The program, Glencoe Literature, combines fiction and related nonfiction titles and includes an online student edition, along with the StudentWorks package, which provides activities, videos, software tools, and other materials. The series also includes Dinah Zykes's "Foldables" activities for student note-taking.

For teachers, Glencoe Literature provides an online assessment tool called Progress Reporter Online, which also includes student performance reporting capabilities. The teacher edition offers differentiated instruction strategies, and support is provided through online modules and DVD-based teacher professional development.

As of this writing, there are 15 courses and programs in the Glencoe Literature series. More information about the programs can be found at Glencoe's site here.
