LeapFrog Intros 'Crammer' Digital Study Tool

LeapFrog Enterprises has announced the launch of a new digital study tool, the Crammer Study & Sound System. Designed for students in grades 3 through 8, the new platform provides a range of study and homework resources in a compact, handheld system.

Weighing in at at about 4.5 ounces, the Crammer holds more than 16,000 quiz questions in subjects ranging from math to science and social studies, all drawn from school textbooks. Customized flash cards can also be created online for use with the Crammer system. The device also includes a 10,000-word Spanish-English/English-Spanish dictionary, with audio pronunciation and auto flashcard-creation capabilities.

Content on the system is managed by connecting the device to either a Mac OS X system or a Windows-based system. Crammer also includes 1 GB internal memory, allowing users to store and play music.

LeapFrog is also providing an online resource--LeapFrog Learning Path--intended to give parents useful information on how to use the Crammer platform to augment student learning, as well as provide information on how students are progressing through their individual quiz questions.

Crammer is available now for $59.99. All study content and quiz questions are available as free downloads.
