Macmillan/McGraw-Hill Launches Site To Support Florida Reading Program

Macmillan/McGraw-Hill has just launched a new Web site designed specifically for Florida teachers using the company's Florida Treasures K-6 reading and language arts program.
According to the company, the new site was developed to help educators familiarize themselves with Florida Treasures, providing a set of tools that includes 24/7 professional development exercises, video resources, podcasts, program tips, as well as collaborative tools to enhance idea and resource sharing. The site also has an eConsultant feature that allows teachers to pose questions and get answers within 24 hours.
"We are dedicated to supporting Florida teachers using our programs and want to make sure they have access to the highest quality materials and services," said Steve McClung, president of McGraw-Hill School Solutions Group, in a prepared statement. "This site will help Florida teachers take full advantage of the program's assets and meet the needs of all students. The success of Florida teachers and students is ultimately how we'll measure our success."
According to Macmillan/McGraw-Hill, the Florida Treasures program, built around the state's assessment model, will be delivered to more than 60 percent of Florida students.
