Plagiarism Detection System Adds URL Filtering, Reporting Groups

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

iParadigms has released a new version of its iThenticate plagiarism detection platform.

According to the company, the Web-based solution uses textual searches to verify the originality of target documents. The system compares the uploaded files to an Internet database of more than 9 billion "live and archived Web pages" and a publications database of more than 10,000 periodicals.

The latest version of iThenticate includes URL filtering, allowing users to "whitelist" specific Web addresses prior to conducting a search. The company has also added a "reporting groups" function, giving users the ability to create and assign "user groups" through a pull-down menu interface.

The company is offering a 30-day trial subscription to the service. During the free trial period, users will also be given the opportunity to attend one of the company's weekly training Webinars to learn about the solution and its capabilities.
