NetSupport Launches Notify 2.0 Alert Software

At the FETC 2009 conference happening in Orlando, FL this week, NetSupport debuted its new NetSupport Notify 2.0 desktop alert software.

NetSupport Notify is designed to provide instant alerts for desktop systems via LAN or WAN. It includes dedicated notification gateways for message delivery across multiple network segments or sites without modifying the network or switch configuration. It also has the ability to record message delivery and acknowledgement information.

The new version 2.0 include enhanced customization, centralized reporting, and new scheduling capabilities. Some specific new features include:

  • Support for sending notifications at pre-defined dates and times new one-time or recurring alerts;
  • Security codes for limiting access to the system;
  • New user accounts;
  • Delivery and user history reports; and
  • A new communication component that provides a Web interface and support for integration with other notification systems.

NetSupport Notify 2.0 runs about $180 for a 75-user pack and supports Mac OS X and Windows systems. Further information can be found here.
