WHAT TECHNOLOGY TOOLS would populate your ultimate school? Would an interactive whiteboard be set in every classroom? Would cell phones and MP3 players be seamlessly integrated into the curriculum? Students, teachers, parents, and administrators were asked to outfit their ultimate school with one guiding criterion: maximizing achievement.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Administrators chose “school portal” far more than any other group.
  • The amount of respondents who cited e-mail, IM, and texting rose sharply from elementary to secondary school.
  • A wide gulf between students and educators is seen in the percentages related to online classes.
