Adobe Digital School Collection Comes to Mac OS X

Adobe has introduced a new version of its Digital School Collection, a suite of creative and productivity tools geared specifically for K-12 education. The latest release is available for both Mac OS X and Windows systems for the first time and incorporates the new Acrobat X Pro, announced Monday.

Digital School Collection includes the latest releases of Photoshop Elements 9, Premiere Elements 9 (a non-linear editor for video production), Acrobat X Pro, Soundbooth CS5 (for audio editing and mixing), and Contribute CS5 (for Web content editing).

In addition to the core applications, the Digital School Collection also includes education resources, ranging from tutorials for using the software to sample lessons. Through Adobe's Education Exchange, educators also have access to resources provided by teachers and other ed tech pros who who use Adobe's creative software.

Adobe Digital School Collection is expected to be available Dec. 1 with support for Mac OS X and Windows. Volume licensing will start at $149. Further information can be found here.
