Camtasia Relay Adds Drupal Interoperability

Camtasia Relay is gaining integration with the open source content management system Drupal. TechSmith this week released a plugin for Drupal that connects it with Camtasia Relay, the company's commercial lecture and screen capture system.

Camtasia Relay is a lecture capture solution that can be used on Mac OS X and Windows systems for classroom recording. It offers LDAP integration and encoding in multiple formats, including MP3, MP4, Flash, and Windows Media, for publishing to a variety of destinations, including common learning management systems and iTunes U, among others. Drupal is a PHP-based open source content management system used for building Web sites and blogs, with collaboration tools, social media components, multimedia support, and accessibility features for both the CMS and sites built with the CMS.

The new plugin integrates with Camtasia Relay and allows users to publish media files and host them within Drupal.

The Camtasia Relay plugin for Drupal is available now. The Camtasia Relay recorder runs on Mac OS X and Windows. The server runs on Windows Server 2003 and 2008. Academic pricing starts at $4,995 for a single-server license. A free trial is also available. Further information about Camtasia Relay can be found here.
