Texas District Beefs up Technology in New High School

As part of a district improvement plan, a Liberty Hill Independent School District has expanded its use of technology for its recently opened Liberty Hill High School campus. The newly opened $62 million high school has about 1,600 students, 48 general classrooms, and 10 computer labs, as well as several career and technology classrooms.

Students and teachers will be using Dell's Latitude E5530 laptops for mobile learning and instruction and OptiPlex 3010 desktop computers in the school's computer labs. The district's IT organization will be using Dell's KACE K1000 and K2000 systems management appliances to manage the endpoints.

"Liberty Hill is growing rapidly, and we want to be sure our schools continue to support the learning needs of our students and teachers," said Superintendent Rob Hart. "Dell's partnership has been invaluable in our district's quest to prepare our students for the future and provide them with 21st century learning tools."

The district is located about 30 miles from Dell's Austin headquarters.
