Generation YES and Learning.com Partner to Create Digital Literacy Program

The nonprofit Generation YES and educational technology provider Learning.com have collaborated to create Project NextTech, an online high school digital literacy survey course. Project NextTech’s curriculum is organized around three core literacies: technology literacy, information literacy and media literacy. Students learn through guided explorations, activities and technology-infused projects.

Dennis Harper, founder and CEO of Generation YES, said, “We’ve invested 16 years and more than $20 million developing the content at the core of Project NextTech,” with the hopes that “high school students will develop a strong foundation of digital literacy skills that will serve them well into the future.”

Keith Oelrich, the CEO of Learning.com, added, “This solution also helps students become resourceful learners and critical consumers who are able to evaluate digital information for credibility, context and bias.”
