PowerSchool Acquires Tienet Special Ed Case Management Solution

Ed tech provider PowerSchool has acquired Tienet from Maximus. Tienet is a web-based case management system for special education.

PowerSchool provides a range of solutions for education, including a student information system, registration software and an assessment platform. The company now provides a module powered by Tienet that allows PowerSchool users to track individualized education programs (IEPs) “from initial referral through classifications, placement of students and delivering services, while meeting all state and federal reporting requirements,” according to the company.

“TIENET provides a diagnostic framework for educators to identify students who are struggling, evaluate their progress, and meet their learning and behavioral needs. We value improving the education experience for all students to reach their maximum potential in the classroom,” said Hardeep Gulati, CEO of PowerSchool, in a prepared statement. “By enabling single common information access and processes, we are empowering teachers and educators to identify at-risk students, monitor their progress, and build personalized instructional paths.”

Additional information can be found on PowerSchool’s site.
