Free Guide Offers STEM Advice

Boxlight, a company known for its audiovisual gear for the classroom, has issued a free guide to help teachers know where to find apps, activities, ideas and funding to support STEM learning. "The Big Guide to STEM: Volume No. 2" is an updated version of its previous STEM guide from 2017.
Topics cover:

"Top-10" lists for resources such as STEM apps, blogs, websites, events, software, robotics, space and funding;

STEM resources for girls;
-
Guidance on how to take STEM lessons beyond the usual content;
-
Advice on how to create STEM lessons; and
-
Suggestions for selecting the right robotics for STEM activities.
The content was developed by educators who have deep experience in teaching science, technology, engineering and math.
"STEM careers are growing faster than other disciplines, and with an estimated 2.8 million STEM jobs sitting unfilled at the end of 2018, a new generation is needed to supply future positions," said Lori Page, vice president of global marketing for the company, in a statement. "We've updated this guide sharing valuable knowledge from educators who have first-hand experience with STEM education which has helped them to collect the most beneficial resources and techniques that work in real classrooms. With the improved information in this guide, any educator can begin to establish STEM initiatives in their classroom and lead their students into competitive colleges and careers in the future."
