Arizona Brings Discovery Ed Platform to Schools Across the State
The Arizona
Department of Education has partnered with Discovery
Education to provide Discovery's
Experience platform to all teachers and students throughout the
state.
Through the partnership, educators will have access to
standards-aligned content, digital lessons and professional
development tools and resources via the Discovery
Educator Network (DEN) Community.
"Digital resources like those provided to teachers and students
through our new partnership with Discovery Education have the ability
to take students beyond their classroom and introduce them to people,
places, and ideas they might not otherwise encounter," said
Superintendent of Public Instruction, Kathy Hoffman. "However,
in the past, access to transformative, high-quality digital content
was not equitable. Our new partnership with Discovery Education
brings these resources to classrooms across our state, ensuring every
Arizonan student has the opportunity to access a new world of
information and ideas from any device."
The Arizona Department of Education has made public a number of its
projects using recovery funds. Further
information can be found on ADE's site (list last updated in May
as of this writing).
