State of New Hampshire Expands Partnership with Tutor.com to Include Upper Elementary and Adult Learners

The New Hampshire Department of Education (NHED) and Tutor.com have expanded their tutoring partnership agreement to include upper elementary students in grades 4-5 and adult learners preparing to take the GED and HiSET high school equivalency exams.

The original partnership was launched in 2022 for every middle and high school student in the state to have free, unlimited, 24/7 access to help from qualified tutors. Tutoring includes public, non-public, and charter schools, Education Freedom Account holders, and home education students, said the organization.

Tutoring is available in 209 subjects, from math, reading, social studies, and vocabulary, to AP subjects. Individualized tutoring is available for English and Spanish speakers, and students can use text or two-way voice chat.

Other services include:

  • An online classroom with whiteboard, text and coding screens, Desmos graphing calculator, and more;
  • Other academic support through its LEO platform, such as a drop-off writing review service, self-paced SAT and ACT test prep from The Princeton Review, practice quizzes, video lessons, and other resources;
  • Increasing support to students by integrating with the learning management systems of districts and schools across the state so that students only have one login. Those who are not affiliated with a school or whose school is not signed up can create an individual account; and
  • Friendly competitions among schools with ice cream or pizza parties to encourage use of the free service.

Tutors are vetted as subject-matter experts and must submit to ongoing background checks and quality-control processes, Tutor.com said.

"We are honored to partner with the state of New Hampshire to support even more learners in achieving their educational goals," said Sandi White, chief institutional officer for The Princeton Review and Tutor.com. "We applaud the New Hampshire Department of Education's commitment to meeting the needs of each student across the state."
