Idolian Intros $150 Android Tablet

Idolian.com has unveiled its new 7-inch Android tablet PC, the MiniTurbo T8. The Newport Beach, CA.-based tablet manufacturer is debuting the Mini Turbo T8 for $149.

The Mini Turbo T8 features a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 chipset, with 512 MB RAM and a 4 GB hard drive. It can support up to 16 GB microSD storage. Idolian's new 7-inch tablet weighs less than a pound and includes a front-facing camera, 360 G-Sensor, and HDMI output. Running Android Gingerbread OS, the Mini Turbo T8 offers WiFi connectivity, Android Market, and Flash player. The battery life will be up to six hours, according to Idolian.

With this release, Idolian is looking to compete with other 7-inch tablets in the market, most notably Amazon's recently released Kindle Fire. The company is offering the Mini Turbo T8 for $149 at idolian.com through the end of November.

Idolian will distribute its tablets through cellular store locations in the United States and South Korea. All Idolian tablets come with one-year warranties that are serviced in the United States.
