##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->
Apangea Learning, an ed tech developer that focuses on supplemental instruction and tutoring software, has updated its Apangea Learning Math (formerly SmartHelp). ALM is an online tutoring system that provides differentiated math instruction through both live teachers and software-based animated learning coaches.
For the relaunch of the service, Apangea has added a version of the service that can be purchased by parents for home use. Other new enhancements include:
- Practice Zone, which is designed to translate learning into strategies for taking classroom and high-stakes tests;
- Improved navigation and page design; and
- A new system that allows students to donate earned points to a charity of their choice.
ALM uses certified teachers in its tutoring and offers individualized instruction based on state standards, grade level, and other factors. Further information can be found here.
