EduCause 2001 Annual Conference: An EDU Odyssey

Education professionals can expect to find a wealth of information about technology in higher education at this year's EduCause Annual Conference. The four-day conference features several respected speakers and thought-provoking topics. The general conference session this year features several key speakers, including Sally Ride, astronaut and the first American woman in space; Neil Gershenfeld, director of The Physics and Media Group at MIT's Media Lab; and John Seely Brown, chief scientist of Xerox Corp. and chief innovation officer of 12 Entrepreneuring. This year's program is based on seven tracks: Library, Support and Training, IT Management, Teaching and Learning, Information Systems and E-Business, Emerging Technologies, and Infrastructure/ Networking/Security. In addition, the 2001 EduCause Awards will be presented on October 30.

EduCause is a nonprofit organization that seeks to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology. Membership is open to institutions of higher education, corporations serving the higher education information technology market and other related groups.
