Harcourt Releases Learnia Advanced for Texas

Harcourt Assessment, the testing unit of publisher Harcourt Education, has released Learnia Advanced, Texas Edition. Learnia Advanced is a formative assessment suite for K-12 students.

The new Texas Edition provides, among other features, a dynamic item bank for grades 3 through 8 with 4,200 items and "multidimensional alignment to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) objectives and skills included in the statewide assessment," according to Harcourt. It also includes a general item bank containing more than 30,000 items.

Learnia Advanced, Texas Edition uses short formative assessments to allow educators to text students throughout the year to measure progress.. It also provides summative tests designed to help teachers target students who might need interventions and additional resources prior to the administration of TAKS.
