NextFest 2007 Education Day Heads to LACC

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Organizers of the Wired NextFest 2007 festival have announced the fourth-annual Education Day event to be held during the show, Sept. 13 and 14, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Education Day is designed to expose students to "future technologies" in entertainment, healthcare, and other fields and to encourage students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Guests at the opening ceremony Sept. 13 will include the STS-188 Endeavor space shuttle crew, including Barbara Morgan, the elementary school teacher, who flew aboard the Endeavor last month on its mission to the International Space Station as a mission specialist. Students will be able to interact with the astronauts and ask them questions. The event also includes a variety of hands-on activities.

Education Day is free for all school groups. Visit the link below for more information and registration.
