JCHS Deploys WiFi Array

JSerra Catholic High School has deployed WiFi arrays across its Southern California campus. Xirrus deployed its arrays at the school to support the school's laptop program and online educational tools.
"We take pride in staying on the leading edge of technology at JSerra," said Mike Tubbs, IT manager at JCHS. "We selected Xirrus for our new wireless network, because their solution provided better coverage and more bandwidth than our previous WiFi network, hands down. Their architectural approach was simpler and translated to a seamless and easy rollout."
The network supports about 1,000 students at JSerra, along with faculty and staff. According to Xirrus, all JSerra students are "required to use a laptop and connect to the campus-wide network as part of academic enrichment activities, as well as to check student portals and utilize the school's Web mail system."
JSerra, located in San Juan Capistrano, is a Roman Catholic school (open to students of all faiths) that focuses on college preparatory curricula.
