Electric Company, Verizon Foundation Partner To Provide Free Resources

The Electric Company and Verizon have partnered to provide free educational games, printable activities, and videos for students and educators through Thinkfinity.org.

The Electric Company, created by Sesame Workshop, is a PBS television show and multimedia literacy campaign targeted at children in grades 1 through 3. The third season of The Electric Company, beginning May 2, will feature a multimedia project called The Adventures of the Electric Company on Prankster Planet.

The project will include:

  • 12 new two-minute animated stories aired at the end of The Electric Company;
  • 12 multi-level online quests;
  • 60 mini-games;
  • An avatar creator and reward system; and
  • A magazine called The Lost Guide to Prankster Planet.

Thinkfinity is a project of the Verizon Foundation that provides free resources for K-12 educators and students. Thinkfinity resources are aligned to national and state standards and include an online community, teaching and learning materials, at-home activities for students and parents, and professional development for teachers.
