New AirWatch Teacher Tools App Allows Teachers To Manage Mobile Devices in Class

Enterprise mobility management provider AirWatch is launching Teacher Tools, an application that moves real-time mobile device management from IT to teachers in the classroom. With Teacher Tools, instructors can now control student devices in the classroom without help from IT administrators. Teachers can associate each student with the assigned device and manage devices for different classes, groups of students or individuals.

Features include:

  • All Eyes Up Front mode, which locks devices during whole class instruction to ensure students are paying attention;
  • Single Application mode, with which teachers can lock a student or a small group of students into a select application for a specified amount of time; and
  • Clear Passcode function, enabling teachers to instantly clear and reset a passcode without having to lookup the device serial number.

AirWatch will feature Teacher Tools at FETC this week in Orlando, at Booth 651.
