MimioStudio 11.2 Adds Free Mobile Access

Mimio has released an update to its interactive classroom suite, MimioStudio, that allows educators to connect up to three mobile devices in their classrooms for free.

MimioStudio is a collaboration suite for education that includes all of the MimioClassroom software tools for working with interactive whiteboards in the classroom, along with a gradebook, Common Core-oriented test and quiz tools and activity creation software.

With the 11.2 release, MimioStudio allows teacher to connect up to three mobile devices in their classrooms — Apple iOS or Google Android phones or tablets — at no additional charge. (Additional devices can be added with a MimioMobile annual license.) According to Mimio, the software "allows the use of Apple and Android devices for formative assessment and for student collaboration on the classroom display."

MimioStudio 11.2 is available for download for Linux, Windows and OS X now. Additional details can be found on Mimio's site.
