Hatch Launches Kits To Bridge Classroom Tech, Traditional Materials

Hatch, a provider of early childhood classroom technology, has launched Hatchables, kits designed to bridge education technology and traditional classroom materials.

Designed to help teachers provide individualized instruction for small group activities, the kits include manipulatives, compact lessons, detailed activity guides and online videos to guide teachers.

The $40 kits cover topics such as:

  • Letter recognition;
  • Initial sounds;
  • Sentence segmenting;
  • Language vocabulary;
  • Sorting;
  • Spatial Skills;
  • Counting foundations;
  • Numeral recognition; and
  • Common shapes.

"Hatchables connect Hatch's award-winning software with a series of robust classroom materials kits," said Dana Love, Vice President at Hatch, in a prepared statement. "Hatchables encourage the critical thinking skills of early learners and reinforce the learning developed through use of our software. Moreover, Hatchables work effectively as stand-alone instructional kits for the essential skills in literacy and math which promote kindergarten readiness in early learners."
