NEC Display Unveils 2 New Projectors for Education
NEC
Display Solutions has launched two more projectors to its
education portfolio, both with easy connections to HD data and video
sources
and the ability to connect with smartphones and tablets.
The V332X
and V332W
are 3,300-lumen projectors that offer
horizontal and vertical keystone correction for more flexibility. They
have
longer lamp lives than previous models — up to 6,000 hours — and
10,000:1
contrast ratios. The new models offer "intuitive" remote control with
one-touch
source changes and menu control.
Other features include:
- Quick Start function, making the projectors ready for
use in
seconds;
- Advanced video processing, which leads to additional
picture
management control;
- 8-watt speakers;
- A filter-free design that aims to lower maintenance
intervals; and
- Capability to manage multiple projectors from a
single point.
"The projectors also support 3D computing and 3D over
HDMI,
which enable the display of more immersive content by schools," said NEC
Display Senior Product Manager Bob Guentner.
The V332X, with 1,024 x 768 resolution, will have an
estimated cost of $579 and the V332W, with 1,280 x 800 resolution,
will cost
$649. Each model will come with a two-year limited parts and labor
warranty.
