JoomlaLMS 2.1.0 Twice as Fast, Offers Enhanced Reporting

JoomlaLMS has released an update to its learning management system. JoomlaLMS 2.1.0 is compatible with PHP7, is twice as fast as its previous version and features improved performance and reporting, according to the company.

  • Faster report generation;
  • More visually appealing report design; and
  • A move to XLSX format, which will solve the Excel compatibility issues that plagued previous versions.

The latest release also introduces improvements to its source code, database structure and SCORM engine. In addition, its added support for PHP7 reduces memory consumption up to 50 percent, according to a company statement.

The open source Joomla-based learning management system is currently used by more than 1,000 organizations in 30-plus countries, according to the Joomla website. Beyond the free trial version, JoomlaLMS is available in two versions: standard and pro. The standard edition runs $299 to $2,599, depending on the number of users (up to unlimited). The pro version runs $799 to $6,199, also depending on the number of users (up to unlimited).
