Digital Promise Adds 16 Free Microcredentials

Digital Promise has added 16 new microcredentials to its portfolio, with the help of four different partners. All are free online training sessions that cover specific skills and earn people digital badges or microcredentials for successful completion. The process for earning a microcredential involves choosing a skill to develop, collecting the evidence required that demonstrates competency in the area and uploading and submitting the evidence for feedback.
Educators who work with refugees are the intended learners for two new courses from the Carey Institute for Global Good, which runs the Refugee Educator Academy. The institute recently added two microcredentials to its Refugee Educator stack: Scaffolding Learning to Support Refugee Students and Differentiating Instruction to Support Refugee Students micro-credential.
The CAPS Network has introduced five microcredentials for its new Profession-Based Learning stack, which emphasizes learning based in experience for high schoolers:
The Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative has published two microcredentials with training to support the teaching of rural students: Understanding Types of Poverty and Building Relationships.
The National AfterSchool Association added seven micro-credentials to its STEM Facilitation stack:
