Canadian School Board Installs McGraw-Hill SIS

The Edmonton Catholic School Board in Alberta, Canada, has selected the McGraw-Hill District System and the McGraw-Hill School System for district-wide implementation. The Board plans to implement a wide area network that links classrooms, buildings and district offices.

The McGraw-Hill District System is a 32-bit Windows-based application that aggregates and reports student data, and centralizes the registration and enrollment process for schools. Co-developed by Microsoft and McGraw-Hill School Systems, the client/server software works with the BackOffice suite of networking and database tools.

For school-level student information management, Edmonton will install the McGraw-Hill School System at 87 sites. This system helps staff manage demographics, health, discipline, attendance, enrollment, curriculum, scheduling and student progress. Teachers also will use InteGrade Pro, a new electronic gradebook.
